Sally Chung, PsyD, ABPP

I specialize in exploring how your cultural identity and past relational experiences impact your ability to connect meaningfully with others. My integrative approach helps you understand who you are in the context of your life experiences and empower you to create a life that aligns with your values and goals.

I strive to promote healing and growth through connection, relationship, and authenticity. I want you to feel comfortable with who you are in at this time and in this space.

With advanced training in emotionally-focused therapy and future-directed therapy, my therapeutic style appeals to those who are insight-oriented, ready to live fuller lives, and enjoy pop culture references and metaphors.

I hold a board certification in clinical psychology and a doctorate of clinical psychology, with interests in cultural identity, Asian American mental health, relationships. My passion for promoting holistic, culturally competent care and reducing mental health stigma in diverse communities, particularly Asian American/Pacific Islander communities, has spanned my entire career.

I've worked across a number of settings, including the University of Washington, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System. I believe in advocacy and learning beyond clinical work and have presented at local and national conferences and trainings and reviewed submissions for several psychological publications and conventions. Additionally, one of the coolest things I’ve done in my professional life is have one of my poems in the Where Beauty Lies exhibit at the Wing Luke Museum.
